If market economy (capitalism) is so that good, why e.g. the United States faced or is facing great depression/economic recession nowadays and in the past??

If centrally planned economy (communism) is so damn bad, why e.g. China did not and does not face economic recession/financial crisis nowadays or in the past??

Does it mean that a county which has a powerful military force that can control/take place other countries is a good country and has a good (economy) system??
